Route 66 Adventure.

This cross country trip on my Harley has been in my head for years. Originally, I was going to take it in the spring of last year but cancer got in the way. Earlier this year I decided to do the LiveStrong Challenge so it got put off until now. It is a dream come true, one of many that I am blessed to have experienced.
I dedicate this trip to Patti, my favorite wife, who I'm sure doesn't always understand but always loves and supports me.
It is also dedicated to my friend, Sue, as she recovers from a serious bicycle accident. LiveStrong Sue!

I hope that all of you will enjoy the trip along with me!

A really good day!
Sometimes you get a day on the motorcycle that is so perfect, you feel like you could ride forever. Today tuned out to be one of those days. The morning didn't look like it though. I left at 5:30am with wet roads and by the time I got just outside Fulton, it poured. By Weedsport it had stopped and by Rochester the roads were dry. Buffalo had just partly cloudy skies and by Cleveland, the sun was warm and bright setting up absolutely great conditions to ride and so, here I am tonight in Chicago. I rode just over 700 miles and felt great (until I stopped, now I am beat.)
What a wonderful day though. As I rode in western NY south of Lake Erie, I passed miles of grapevines and could actually smell the grapes! Then to see the acre after acre of corn and other crops through Ohio and Indiana begins to remind me what a beautiful country we live in.
So now tomorrow is a free day! I already went to the gym and signed up for a spin class in the morning and will take it from there. I bet that I will find a way to explore downtown a bit.
Hope you all had a good day too!
